Cupcake Bottlecap Necklace
Imagine this… it’s a week before your 10th birthday and your mom drops you (and not your little sister) off at a shelter and walks away. Sure, she promises that she’ll be back in time for your big, double-digit birthday but the workers there have only had ONE parent ever come back for a child in the 16 years they’ve been running this home. It’s pretty much a given that you’re there to stay. You are worried that this is going to be your WORST birthday EVER!
Well BluFairies, this EXACTLY the situation for a 9 year old little girl whose situation has been brought to our attention. The staff at a family practice in Central Florida have stepped up to sponsor this girl’s party. They’ve managed to put it all together except for the party favors. They’re throwing a “girlie/diva” themed party for the kids at the home (11 girls and 5 boys).
We contacted our friends over at Cupcakes and Keepsakes (LOVE these creative women) and have arranged to get all the favors from them at cost. THANKS Missy, Caryn and Jenn!! They’re also coming up with something suitable for the boys. Now all we need is help funding it!

My heart goes out to this little girl… Wow, Spark beat us to the punch. But seriously, thanks for granting the wish before we all could donate and helping this girl. I hope she realizes that she really is special.
